I just used the basic DVD that I got along with the chair just 20mins a day and to get results this quick has exceeded my expectations! I feel great and I also haven't gotten bored yet, I can also do this in the comfort of my own home and don't have to feel uncomfortable as you sometimes do at the gym!
At any rate, the chairs should be ergonomically designed so that they give good lumbar support and they should also have sturdy arm rests. Some chairs will have a swivel and wheels, whilst others will be static. Which you choose depends upon several things including what surface your floor is. Make sure the chairs are well padded for extra comfort and that they conform to your country's safety laws.
The spine has to be kept in an aligned position. The curves of the back must not be exaggerated or minimized. By preserving this posture, there is a minimal amount of stress to the discs in your back or the ligaments that support your spine. Because we oftentimes have sedentary lifestyles, we tend to lack the strength and body awareness needed to stabilize the back in this position.
