If it is not possible for you to change your table, just make sure you are able to sit comfortably and properly. If your chair is too high, you may need a footrest to keep your feet on. Not only will this keep you from sliding and slouching on your chair, keeping your feet flat while sitting allows better circulation to your lower extremities and lessens the strain to your legs.
Wood chairs - these were found a lot before modern office furniture chairs became an ergonomic science, but the can still be found today. However, they usually only swivel and rise up and down and are not ergonomic in other ways.
It bothersome for massage professionals to think of massage therapy from this viewpoint, but for the most part, that's how the public perceives massage. When seen from that viewpoint, it looks as if the massage profession is intentionally trying to deter people from using massage.
